The Sumter Humane Society is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Americus, Georgia, that has provided a critical safety net for orphaned cats and dogs since 1984. Relying on private donations and grants to supplement limited local government funding, the society provides essential medical treatment, basic vaccinations, and behavioral enrichment for animals in distress.
