Operating as a unique matchmaking system for the rescue community, the alliance rescues an average of 30 to 40 dogs per week and places them into temporary local foster care for up to two weeks.Once stabilized and vetted, volunteers coordinate safe transport networks to move the dogs to reputable 501(c)(3) companion rescue partners across more than 20 states along the East Coast and beyond.Supported entirely by public donations, grassroots fundraising, and dedicated fosters, Journey Home Rescue Alliance channels every dollar directly into life-saving rescue operations to eliminate preventable shelter euthanasia.
