The February Star Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based on a historic farm in Knox County, Maryland, providing permanent sanctuary and care for abused, neglected, and senior horses, as well as stray and feral cats. The organization delivers specialized veterinary triage, tailored nutrition, and long-term care to ensure equines live out their lives in dignity.

In addition to equine rescue, the sanctuary actively supports community cat welfare through a proactive Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program and a dedicated barn cat initiative. Funded entirely by public donations, sponsorships, and volunteers, the group is committed to healing vulnerable animals and promoting animal welfare across the region.
