The February Star Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Knox County, Maryland, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing a permanent safe haven for abused, neglected, and senior horses, as well as stray or feral cats. Operating on a beautiful historic farm, the sanctuary provides specialized veterinary triage, tailored nutrition, and long-term sanctuary care for equines to live out their lives in dignity.

In addition to its equine rescue operations, the organization is deeply committed to community feline welfare, running a proactive Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program and managing a dedicated barn cat initiative to give free-roaming cats a safe purpose and a warm shelter. Supported wholly by public donations, sponsorships, and a passionate volunteer base, February Star Sanctuary focuses on healing the broken, protecting the vulnerable, and fostering a deep community connection with animal welfare.
