The Lost Companion is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in the United States. The organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, stray, abused, and at-risk companion animals—primarily dogs and cats—while providing intake veterinary care, core vaccinations, microchipping, and mandatory spay/neuter services.

Operating entirely through a network of volunteer foster homes rather than a traditional shelter facility, the rescue socializes animals in domestic home environments. The Lost Companion is funded entirely through public donations,community fundraisers, and standard adoption fees, placing fully vetted pets into screened permanent homes.
