KC PAWS (Protective Animal Welfare Society) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Kansas City,Missouri, serving the greater metropolitan area. The organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and at-risk companion animals—primarily dogs and cats—while providing intake veterinary care,routine vaccinations, microchipping, and mandatory spay/neuter services.

Operating entirely through a network of volunteer foster homes rather than a traditional shelter facility, the rescue socializes animals in domestic home environments. KC PAWS is funded entirely through public donations, community fundraisers, and standard adoption fees, placing fully vetted pets into screened permanent homes.
