Journey Home Rescue Alliance is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Charleston County, South Carolina, dedicated to saving dogs facing euthanasia in under-resourced, overcrowded municipal shelters. As a volunteer-run alliance, the organization covers critical medical expenses, provides essential veterinary triage, and manages complex multi-state transport logistics for at-risk animals.

Operating a unique rescue and transport pipeline, the alliance rescues 30 to 40 dogs weekly, stabilizing them in local foster care for up to two weeks. Once fully vetted, volunteers coordinate safe transport to reputable rescue partners across more than 20 states to secure permanent homes and eliminate preventable shelter euthanasia.
