Homebound Hounds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue based in Southern California (serving the greater San Diego and Inland Empire areas), dedicated to pulling at-risk dogs facing capacity-based euthanasia in overcrowded municipal shelters. The organization provides rescued dogs with essential veterinary triage, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and medical rehabilitation.

Operating through an all-volunteer foster network rather than a physical shelter facility, the rescue cares for and socializes dogs in home settings. Supported entirely by donations and adoption contributions, Homebound Hounds utilizes thorough screening and foster-to-adopt trial periods to match each dog with a compatible, permanent home.
