Happy Tails Dachshund Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue based in Queen Creek, Arizona, serving the greater Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas. The organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, neglected, injured, or surrendered Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes facing euthanasia in municipal shelters, providing intake medical triage, vaccinations, microchipping, and mandatory spay/neuter services.

Operating entirely through a network of volunteer foster homes rather than a physical kennel facility, the rescue evaluates temperament, manages breed-specific medical issues (such as IVDD), and socializes dogs in home settings. Supported fully by public donations, community fundraisers, and adoption fees, Happy Tails Dachshund Rescue conducts thorough applicant vetting—including reference checks, interviews, and home visits—to match dogs with permanent families.
