Golden Garden’s Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue and nature sanctuary based in Knox, Indiana, dedicated to saving abandoned, stray, and at-risk companion animals across Starke and surrounding northern Indiana counties. The organization focuses on urgent municipal shelter pulls, feral cat rehabilitation, and community animals facing euthanasia, providing comprehensive veterinary care, sterilization, and vaccinations.

Operating on a 15-acre sanctuary property equipped with specialized intake facilities and indoor/outdoor kennels, the rescue integrates permanent outdoor refuge for unsocialized cats with dedicated foster placement for adoptable dogs and kittens. Funded entirely through donations and community grants, Golden Garden’s Sanctuary also leads aggressive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives and supplies kitten starter kits to prevent shelter overcrowding and support local pet retention.
