GetALong Dachshund Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving homeless Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. The rescue commits to never turning away senior, injured, or medically complex dogs, ensuring every rescued pet receives lifetime veterinary care and rehabilitation.

Operating as an all-volunteer, foster-based network without a physical shelter, the organization places adoptable hounds into temporary homes to prepare them for adoption. For terminal or highly fragile dogs, the rescue provides "Forever Fosters" so senior and special-needs residents can spend their remaining days surrounded by love and dignity.
