GetALong Dachshund Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Florida, dedicated to saving homeless Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes from shelters. The rescue explicitly pledges to never overlook senior, injured, or medically complex dogs, providing each rescued pet with a lifetime commitment of comprehensive veterinary care and rehabilitation.

Operating as an all-volunteer, foster-based network, the organization serves a vast multi-state region including Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. While standard foster families prepare adoptable hounds for permanent homes, long-term "Forever Fosters" ensure that terminal or highly fragile residents spend the rest of their lives surrounded by dignity and love.
