Austin Bulldog Rescue (ABR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue based in Austin, Texas, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, surrendered, and at-risk English Bulldogs and related bulldog breeds across Texas. Because the breed frequently presents complex medical issues, the organization focuses heavily on specialized veterinary interventions, corrective surgeries, and breed-specific care.

Operating entirely through a volunteer foster network rather than a brick-and-mortar shelter, ABR assesses and rehabilitates dogs within home settings. Supported completely by public donations, community fundraisers, and adoption fees, the rescue conducts thorough applicant screenings and home checks to match each bulldog with a well-equipped permanent home.

Animals over profits: Unlike typical corporate chains, we are completely against selling animals — always, now, and forever.

You choose where 25% of the earnings goes: We believe in full transparency — we calculate this 25% before paying for any executive salaries or business overhead. By skipping the fancy corporate costs, we ensure the money actually lands where it belongs: with the animals.
