Appalachian Pug Rescue (APR) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming pugs and pug mixes. Serving a broad multi-state region, the organization saves dogs from shelters, puppy mills, and owner surrenders, providing full veterinary triage and breed-specific medical care.

Operating entirely as a foster-based network, the rescue places dogs into private homes where their medical and behavioral needs can be thoroughly evaluated. Funded wholly by public donations, the group covers all rehabilitation expenses and utilizes a strict screening process to ensure safe, permanent adoptions.
